About MERF

MERF aims to improve access to quality health care services which are equitable, efficient and affordable in collaboration with governments, international organizations and private entities. MERF provides services in health care delivery, capacity building of health workers, heath care governance, supply chain management, health management information system and health care policy and planning in order to positively contribute to the health status of the population. Medical Emergency Resilience Foundation (MERF) is Not for Profit Organization – NPO registered with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984, as a not for profit organization. MERF has been certified as an NPO by FBR under section 2(36) of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 and is a registered taxpayer with National Tax Number 7212843-0. MERF is also a Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) certified organization.

1. To deliver high-impact comprehensive MNCH, nutrition, communicable and non-communicable disease specific interventions in targeted locations by 2030
2. To invest in frontline capacity and synergistic partnerships for delivering comprehensive service delivery packages at scale
3. To advocate and lobby for required policy change and resource allocation to deliver key interventions at scale
4. To implement innovative solutions that meet new requirements, or program needs in our intervention locations by 2030

Our leadership believes in empowering team members by delegating responsibilities, enabling them to enhance workplace efficiency and productivity. The MERF team is deeply committed to its mission, operating with strategic insight and a focus on sectoral needs. We have a dynamic and vibrant team of over 3000 dedicated professionals, led by experienced leaders with decades of expertise across humanitarian and development sectors, including public health, hospital management, emergency response, nutrition, WASH, and more. Our team excels in program implementation and monitoring, financial management, supply chain management, and administration.

We are proud to have a growing representation of women in both administrative roles and field positions, contributing to a more balanced workforce. we have maintained an extensive HR roster of more than 14,000 professionals and volunteers, ready to be mobilize.

The members who consist of eminent citizens and distinguished professionals have the ultimate responsibility for the governance of the organization. The members serving as Board of Directors provide management oversight through periodic Board meetings as well as annual general meeting (AGM) of the members. The organization is headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appointed by Board. The CEO is responsible for overall operations of the organization and is reportable to Board.
