The action was an immediate 'pandemic emergency response' support provided to the Government of Pakistan to contain the spread of COVID-19 by strengthening system capacities and enhancing mass awareness. The initiative strengthened the government’s capacity by supporting quarantine and isolation units and increased community awareness through mass sensitization campaigns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Sindh.
