MERF is a specialized health agency with a team of 3000+ public health professionals including doctors, paramedical staff and managers. It focuses on strengthening the public health system to deliver quality integrated healthcare services addressing the key burden of communicable & non-communicable diseases and problems related to Maternal, Newborn and Child Healthcare. The major interventions that MERF implemented across its projects include

• Provision of essential promotive, preventive and curative services at primary, secondary & tertiary level of care
• Strengthening human resource capacity of public health system through provision of necessary skill staff (Specialists, Medical Doctors and Paramedical Staff) and building their capacity via regular training, on job mentoring and supportive supervision
• Conducting capacity building trainings and on job mentoring through supportive supervision
• Supporting supply chain management system by delivering essential medicines, consumables and equipment
• Strengthening health information system, supportive supervision and monitoring & evaluation mechanisms
• Community awareness through behavior change interventions.
