The project is being implemented in 15 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in each district, three low vaccination coverage union councils will be covered for enhancement of routine immunization on a pilot basis. These districts include Peshawar, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Torghar, Karak, Mardan, Bajaur, Lower & Central Kurram, Upper Kurram, Khyber, Mohmand, Orakzai, North Waziristan and South Waziristan. In each of these 15 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 03 hard to reach union councils with challenges of poor uptake of immunization services have been selected by the department of health, UNICEF, and national EPI program where comprehensive and targeted communities.
