Nutrition
MERF focuses on providing nutrition specific interventions that address the immediate determinants of maternal and child under nutrition. The key interventions include:
- Community mobilization and screening of malnourished children and pregnant women
- Prevention of Stunting
- Supplementary feeding program (SFP)
- Outpatient therapeutic program (OTP)
- Management Severe Acute Malnourished (SAM) cases in Stabilization Center (SC), e) promotion of infant and young child feeding practices, multi micro-nutrient supplementation and de-worming.
