MERF at forefront of flood response in Pakistan

In Pakistan, over 33 million people are affected since the beginning of the 2022 massive and worst ever devastating floods in the history of the country.

MERF is maintaining regular coordination with the relevant stakeholders for an effective humanitarian response in the affected areas. People in worst affected have received food assistance in form of food pack included wheat flour and other essential food items in Lasbela and Pishin districts of Balochistan along with medical assistance to more than 1900 through medical camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa affected district of D.I. Khan.
Medical camps will be expanded to Lasbela. Noshki and Jhal Magsi districts in Balochistan now with support from different donors. 
The initial assessment and findings show that affected people in target districts of Balochistan, KP and Sindh are in a distressing situation and immediately need relief in terms of food and medical assistance as the scale of disaster is beyond imagination level.

MERF is committed to support and will expand its relief operations through medical aid and food distribution in coming days to districts of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh to reach as many people as possible in this emergency.
